Brett Favre (Destiny vs Reality)

Am I the only one catching this vibe, that after Super Bowl Sunday, we will see Brett Favre riding off into the sunset with another SB ring? Everyone loves Brett Favre, and by everyone I mean that all guys want to be him, and all girls want to be with him. He has that eight digit salary, he has the beautiful wife, and the wonderful family. Brett Favre says the perfect things, has struggled with some adversity (pills and drinking), but has turned out to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Packers vs Patriots is a tell of two tales. Brett Favre and Tom Brady, two future hall of famers, who have both taken different paths with two different lifestyles. I would love to see Brett Favre get that last Super Bowl ring before he hangs up the helmet. However, I think that reality will set in and you will see Tom Brady take home another ring to his mansion and supermodel girlfriend.

Brett Favre (Destiny vs Reality)

When the fourth week of the season was in the record books, I must admit, I thought about the very same thing you have here in this blog. I am a Charger fan and Cowboy fan as well, yet I am an NFL fan more than anything. Most guys who are married have to fight tooth and nail to watch any game on Sunday because a lot of wives  are jealous of the time us guys spend watching sports events! I feel bad for anyone in that situation. Mainly, because I have a wife that loves football season as much as I do, if not more. I tell you this now, my house is a mad house every Sunday with the screaming and yelling for each of our teams. It's the greatest thing you've ever seen.

Well, as the season began, like everyone else in America, I wanted the Chargers to win as many games as possible. My wife was the same way with the Cowboys. Yet we both talked about the fact that this could be Brett Favres' last season and I admitted to her that as a Historian of the NFL, It would be nice to see Brett get one more Superbowl ring before he hung the helmut up for good. I mean, anyone that doesn't admit that he did have a unique personality and was one of the biggest Icon's in the game, is sorely mistaken. Imean this guy played no matter what. He always put the loss's on his shoulders and always made the wins because of the team. It is sad that Brett didn't get his trophy and ride off into the sunset. But if he does retire, he will be a true Hero to most and the Nfl will sorely miss him and his contributions to the game. To all of you "Cheese-Heads", congratulations on your Captains successful career and I speak for many and say good luck in the future!

Brett Favre (Destiny vs Reality)

Sadly enough, you are not the only person "catching this vibe", but that's all it is.  A vibe.  As far as everyone wanting to be Brett Favre you are misguided by what the television and media has been pumping into your brain.  Nobody knows anything personally about Brett Favre, except Brett Favre and his family.  Perhaps a few close friends.  Good luck.
